Here is the official Explorer thread! There are currently 2 models of the Rolex Explorer in the market. Namely, the Explorer and Explorer II. The Explorer is a chronometer in steel, waterproof up to 330ft/100m. A simple but elegant watch available only with the Oysterlock bracelet. At that time, the new version had not really been in AD's, so I never got to handle one. I had simply read a lot about the Explorer on this forum and figured the small hands issue was taken care of and was now "perfect." Then I was in Barcelona last year, and the AD I was visiting had a MK1 version. I have to say that the Rolex Explorer 214270 is THE watch for me. Sporty and robust yet elegant and classy. Perfect size (for normal/skinny wrists) and wonderful bracelet. There is no other versions of the Explorer, no other dial options, no others sizes, no other bracelets and no other materials.
